After producing a dozen films under his home banner, Rajaputhra Ranjith will soon turn a movie director. He will be calling the shots for his first movie which will be produced by Manianpillai Raju, one of his long time friends.

Tentatively titled as 'Black Butterflies', the movie will have its base scripts by Tamil director Balaji Shakthivel, while J Pallassery will script the movie in Malayalam.

MG Sreekumar will be in charge of the music section while Anoop Menon will pen the lyrics. The shoot for the movie is expected to kick start by the second half of August.

Lucky Star Malayalam Movie

Actor Jayaram will next be seen in yet another family drama, directed by debutant Deepu Anthikad. Titled Lucky Star, the movie will see Jayaram and Mukesh in prominent roles. Deepu is the nephew of veteran director Sathyan Anthikad and is also a popular ad film maker. 

When it came to casting for his debut, the director says he couldn't find a better match than Jayaram, who is a hot favourite for family films.

"Lucky Star is a comedy film that revovles around a couple whose life changes after the arrival of a young boy in their life. He becomes their lucky charm," says Deepu, adding that the movie also comes with a message. 

It will also see debutant Rachana Narayanakutty, a popular face on television, essaying the role of Jayaram's wife. Deepu is planning to rope in a child artist from Bollywood to play the young boy. 

Deepu Anthikad credits this first venture to his uncle and director Sathyan Anthikad. "When I used to work on my short films, my uncle used to give me tips to improvise it. Similarly, his suggestions and support helped me come out with Lucky Star," says Deepu.

Poppins Movie Review And Report

Coming from the maker of Path breaking movies like Beautiful and Trivandrum Lodge, his latest offering is a complete letdown. It simply fails to connect with the viewer! 
V K Prakash's 'Poppins' tells the relationship between a man and a woman, a male and a female, a lad and a lass. There is no villain in between them. Their story is never ending; something which can be enjoyed again and

 again without getting bored at all. But will the audience accept his new style of film making?
The film has loopholes aplenty.To start with, the film has been treated in an episodic fashion; VKP's experiment of dividing his story in the first half into three different parts and then merging them together into a single plot has fallen flat,the first 30-35 minutes focus on Indrajith-Padmapriya,Jayasuriya-Meghna likewise.
This division of the first half into three different parts makes the movie quite a drab. Moreover, the pace of the narrative has been deliberately kept slow (perhaps to bring a touch of realism), and the result is that the viewer is less and less involved as the story progresses. The only watchable portion of the movie is the story between Kunchacko Bobban’s and Nithya Menon’s ‘Payasam’.
But what makes matters worse is that V.K.P's storytelling lacks the hammer-strong impact that this genre demands,even though the film does boast of some fine performances. But can the best of performances camouflage the harm inflicted by a weak screenplay? Never!
Jayasuriya and Megna Raj look good together but the romance between the two has been shown in such insipid way that it fails to pluck any chord at viewers' heart. Indrajith gives a controlled performance, Along his side, Padmapriya infuses her character with remarkable intensity.Kunchacko Bobban’s acting in the movie somehow compensates the money spent on movie ticket. The actor looks dashing and quite believable and Nithya Menon looks beautiful and homely in a role that will get her some attention.Shankar Ramakrishnan has given a finely calibrated performance and is smashing.Mythili is surprisingly fresh and sparkling while Ann Augustin has a meaty role and she pitches in her best act.Siddhique is terrific ‘Poppins' blends five dramas by the eminent dramatist Jaiprakash Kuloor.
No doubt that the cinematography handled by Jomon T John and Arun is visually striking and the editing quite free flowing, but the story fails to grip the viewer partly.Director fails completely in keeping the viewer's interest alive. Not only is V.K.P's choice of the subject debatable, even his treatment is not as expected. Frankly,VKP is letdown by the script of the film. The film tries to strike a balance between realism and make-believe, but falls flat from tip to toe.
In a nutshell,‘Poppins’ fails to live upto the expectations that one can have from the maker of films like Beautiful and Trivandrum Lodge .The movie is assorted in the first half, begins to drag in the second half and ends with a climax that hardly leaves any impact.I’m giving 2/5 for this VKP show.Unfortunately, ‘Poppins’ is high on hype, but low on substance.

Sunny Wayne, who shot to fame with 'Second Show', is now a busy bee in Mollywood. The actor has signed up for Praveen M Sukumaran's directorial debut, 'Chewing Gum'. 
"This is a love story and Sunny plays a welder who comes to a town in search of a job. There he meets an NGO activist and they fall in love. The movie goes on to tell about their separation and the emotional turmoil they go through," says Praveen. The flick will see a bunch of freshers making a debut in tinselville. While the director and cinematographer have just completed their course from the film institute, its editor and sound designer are still pursuing their course. 
Praveen has already done a few short films and has even taken his films to international festivals. The story, script and dialogues are written by Praveen. Thingal will make her tinsel town debut through this movie.

Face 2 Face Movie Review : will be a one time watch for the performance of Mammootty and to some socially relevant issues in the second half. Nothing extra ordinary in the plot as the second half did not live up to the expectations.
in first half is good  And second half,story running very slow .but this film talking about present issues .

Face 2 Face talk about an angry CI Balachandran (Mammootty), who gets lots of suspension because of his high temper. A  politician’s son is brutally murdered, and Balachndran is accused for that murder. And SP Ramdas (Siddique) took the charge of investigation, though a friend of Balan, at the end Ramdas too think that Balachandran is the man behind the murder. Balachandran trying to prove who is responsible for this murder and his innocence.

Till interval everything went right for Face 2 Face, however in the second half looks like the director desperately wanted some support from family audience, and included lots of family situations and socially relevant problems, and most of the places we feel like whether the director forgot about the main core of the film. Though the instincts were fine, the sudden change in the track is a miss-match, and all the audience will be disappointed who were expecting a cracker, after a very thrilling pre-interval scene. Also the climax too was not that great. The script by new comer Manoj Payyannoor looks promising in first half, however was a let down in second half with many unwanted situations and characters.  however the saving part in the second half is that, film able to question many social issues faced by our younger generation..

Songs by Alphonse Joseph is not too great, and looks absurd in the plot. Cinematography by Ajayan Vincent is good and same goes for editing by Samjith.

Coming to the performance Mammotty was great in the first half were he portray the angry police officer with ease. And he got some real good dialogues which is surly keep his fans happy. Siddique too came up with a brilliant performance as the SP. The four new comers Gautam, Rishikesh, Rohit and Binoy were decent performers.   Both Roma and Ragini Dwivedi got very little time, which wasn’t enough for them to show case their caliber. Rest of the casts had nothing much to do in the plot.

The real find of this movie will be the screen writer Manoj Payyannoor, who show cases the shades of a brilliant writer, and can expect some brilliant film from this aspirant writer.
