After producing a dozen films under his home banner, Rajaputhra Ranjith will soon turn a movie director. He will be calling the shots for his first movie which will be produced by Manianpillai Raju, one of his long time friends.

Tentatively titled as 'Black Butterflies', the movie will have its base scripts by Tamil director Balaji Shakthivel, while J Pallassery will script the movie in Malayalam.

MG Sreekumar will be in charge of the music section while Anoop Menon will pen the lyrics. The shoot for the movie is expected to kick start by the second half of August.

Mad Dad is an upcoming Malayalam film directed by Revathy S. Madirasi Malayalam Movie

Director Shaji Kailas is famous for his action films. Though he is not having best of the times in Mollywood, he is always busy with his lined up films in Malayalam. Currently, Shaji Kailas is directing a new Malayalam movie 'Simhasanam' with Bigstar Prithviraj in the lead.

By the time, Shaji Kailas completes his current project 'Simhasanam', he will quickly move on to start a new Malayalam movie, titled as 'Madirasi' with Family Hero Jayaram in the lead. This is only the second movie that Jayaram is going to do with Shaji Kailas, since their last movie in together 'Kilukkampetti' released way back in 1991.

Just like his current project 'Simhasanam', the script for this new film 'Madirasi' too will get written by the director Shaji Kailas himself. This film is said to be a hardcore action film, based on some true incidents that gets happened in the underworld of old Madras city.

Lucky Star Malayalam Movie

Actor Jayaram will next be seen in yet another family drama, directed by debutant Deepu Anthikad. Titled Lucky Star, the movie will see Jayaram and Mukesh in prominent roles. Deepu is the nephew of veteran director Sathyan Anthikad and is also a popular ad film maker. 

When it came to casting for his debut, the director says he couldn't find a better match than Jayaram, who is a hot favourite for family films.

"Lucky Star is a comedy film that revovles around a couple whose life changes after the arrival of a young boy in their life. He becomes their lucky charm," says Deepu, adding that the movie also comes with a message. 

It will also see debutant Rachana Narayanakutty, a popular face on television, essaying the role of Jayaram's wife. Deepu is planning to rope in a child artist from Bollywood to play the young boy. 

Deepu Anthikad credits this first venture to his uncle and director Sathyan Anthikad. "When I used to work on my short films, my uncle used to give me tips to improvise it. Similarly, his suggestions and support helped me come out with Lucky Star," says Deepu.
